Planning Ideas

In a small group, we brainstormed differeent ideas about our Preliminary Task. However I also done some brainstorming of my own to ensure my magazine was unique. Some of the ideas I gained is that I wanted my magazine to be different I didnt want it to follow the same trend and to be set up the same as every other magazine is, I want it to stand out from the crowd.
To ensure that I would attract people to buy the magazine I would have it free for a month to get the readers interested and then when it is a set price I should keep a large proportion of the readers, rather than having it at a set price and having a slow start with not many readers. This all providing that I have good content to keep these readrers interested. In the content I am going to have many interesting pages including games pages, joke pages, exam help, gossip pages, agony aunt and just general college news. With the magazine being a college magazine most of these pages will be attractring a large proportion of the general college population. However i would gain more of an idea of what the audince wants after some market research. This would include a questionnaire and a focus group, asking them questions about their hobbies and interests some we could determine more of a market.
